How I think about this work.
Sometimes you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.
If you're allowed to dream, you'll end up living. That's not a slogan. It's the actual mechanic of how careers and partnerships get built.
I've always just said yes to opportunity and made a point to reflect and change course based on the outcome. That's the posture I bring to coaching and advisory work, and the one I'm trying to instill in the people I work with. The career or the project doesn't have to be figured out before you move. If you can see the path clearly, you can run at it.
Whether I'm sitting with a college junior figuring out their first internship, a parent navigating their kid's career questions, or a development team deciding how a new district serves its community — the work is the same. Build the perspective that makes the right move visible. Build the conviction to act on it.
The career, briefly.
Eight years at Uber.
Joined Uber to launch eleven Florida markets; left as Head of Partner Management for Venues & Live Events. $15M+ annual budget, partnerships across 250+ major venues and 500+ events, team of 12-15 across U.S. and international markets.
The portfolio included 20+ PGA Tour tournament partnerships, operating partnerships with NASCAR and Fox Sports, every Live Nation venue in North America, and venue partnerships at SoFi Stadium, AT&T Stadium, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the United Center, and more. Most of what I now teach and advise on, I learned in those rooms. The MBA from the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center at the University of Oregon gave that experience a structured framework — and the academic grounding that now shapes both the consulting practice and the classroom.
NOVA Innovation Group.
Project manager at NOVA Innovation Group since 2023, advising on redevelopment work involving the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls, and the United Center campus. NOVA is a women-owned sport and entertainment advisory firm doing some of the most consequential sport-led economic development work in North America.
NOVA Foundation.
Executive Director of the NOVA Foundation since 2025, a 501(c)(3) focused on college athlete transition. We run Next Game — a community for post-graduation athletes navigating life after sport. First Next Game Summit held at the United Center in 2026.
Lecturer at the University of Maine.
Joined the Maine Business School in 2025 as a Lecturer in Sport Management. Four undergraduate courses including two I designed: Sport Partnership & Sponsorship and Emerging Sport. Faculty advisor for the Sport Management Club.
Why I coach.
I love watching people figure it out. There's nothing better than helping someone see the path clearly and then watching them go run at it. I've stayed close to the people I've coached and mentored over the years, and following their careers as they grow is the most rewarding part of the work I do.
The job of coaching isn't to hand you the answers. It's to help you build the perspective to see them and the energy to chase them down. A career is a journey — once you've got the right perspective on it, it's something to be excited about, not something to dread.
Why I advise organizations.
Ten years of partnership work taught me that the deals and projects that last are the ones where every party can articulate the value they're getting and the value they're putting in. The next decade of sport business is about organizations balancing commercial returns, community impact, and franchise value simultaneously — not optimizing for one at the expense of the others.
